The two Kmart coupns also have different dates on them.

I smell a scandal coming. Just like the KFC free chicken scandal.

This is coming right from the Kmart domain so I find it very unlikely that it is a scam. Going to use it tonight.

I wonder what this means in the fine print: if acquired from a non Sears Holdings approved channel; if reproduced.
I'm going to try it anyways and post what happens here too Artistic

Equivalent discount coupon, but with better date range already posted 1-2 hours earlier.

Had the other at least come second in line, I might not have voted this one down, but it was already there. No new value was added, the coupons are otherwise identical, but the first one posted has a better date range of use in effect, so to post this one was virtually pointless and date wise of less value.

They are effectively the same coupon, but with one being usable longer with a better date range, and having been posting earlier than this one the very same day.

The only difference that the barcode and dates make in this case was sparing you a duplicate post rejection, and establishing "date" value of the coupon. However, given the circumstances in the timing of their posting, I don't see any value in having posted this version of the coupon.

Ain't trying to argue but sometimes these coupons don't work- hence handy to have both especially when they are diff codes. KMART must have had a reason to put two diff barcodes on a similar coupon. Why did they not make one single coupon?

Sometimes the dates of use are tied to the barcode being scanned into store POS systems, and/or even encoded directly into them. However, the choice to release two of them, and assuming both are unaltered and valid coupons, would only be purely speculation on my part.
You would really have to directly consult KMart to get a firm answer on that accord.

"The coupon started its life as part of a "Kmart Renaissance" marketing e-mail blast to customers in the New York City, Chicago, and Baltimore metro areas. The coupon link was to a PDF file on Kmart's servers. Unfortunately, the coupon didn't actually say that it was restricted to these areas"
