Forgot to put the promo code (AFLKIC148) which brings the price down to $148 with free shipping. Maybe I'll get some better votes now. Admin: Please edit accordingly. Thanks.

Whoa! Pause right there please Mods...

This should be resubmitted by the member then, as everyone who voted on this should not have to run the risk of taking a burn point due to the submitters inaccuracy when posting.

At the very least, if it manages to somehow take a contest slot, those who voted negative earlier should be exempted from point penalty, as this has been up for over 7 hours in its current state.

I don't think it should be cancelled. He made the error of not putting the code in and 7 hours is a long time to realize the error and fix it.

The only way we lose a point for this submission is if this item turns around and wins the daily contest.

All things being equally possible, what should happen in that event should be determined now.

Granted that issue is contingent on whether the alteration is permitted in the first place.

Pablos, I'm sure it was just an oversight. You're human and it happens.

However, if one wanted to be really sneaky, that could use this kind of scenario as a submission tactic to cost other members points, by withholding deal information and then changing it later.

Someone could vote it down as its a bad deal, and then the poster could simply come in and say "Gee, sorry, it sucks to be you.", and suddenly that bad deal is now a good one.

This is a site opportunity to set precedent in the future to avoid just that.

This is a case for the Mods to decide and not power users.

$150 Dollar shift is too drastic for us to make any changes.

Will another please flag this as inaccurate to push this back into moderation, that way the Mods can figure out what to do before anymore votes are incurred on this post.

Since you changed the price back to the way it was submitted previously, this one should stand and pablos can submit the same deal with the code included to hopefully earn good votes on the new submission. (A new and seperate deal).

This is a tough one. I can see both sides here:

    1. A members forgets to put a code and wants to fix the mistake
    2. Another member finds (what he thinks) a bad deal and should be rewarded

    What do you think guys?

At some point you have to start taking accuracy standards regarding submissions seriously, and this is just another example of that.

As a gesture of good will to the newbie, I would suggest that the coupon be added, but that the post be made inactive for the contest. The penelty for inaccuracy is this particular case should be contest ineligibility, at least in light of Pablos's inexperience.

If it were an established user with more than a week under their belt I would say let them take the point hit, with a valuable lesson learned.

The rules are stated that you can change your deal within 1 hour. Since this deal was past that time frame when the submitter noticed it, it is just best re-submitted.

Here is the verdict. It will be fair to let this one play out (so the members who noticed the bad deal will be rewarded. Also, pablos17 is welcome to re-submit it with the coupon (and hopefully get as many positive votes as he got negative ones Wink )

Like i stated previously, this deal should stand. He just made a recent submission that cost him a neg as well for not checking around for promo codes that could be applied to his deals.

I'm not trying to be mean but aren't our listings ultimately our responsibility to make them appealing?

Harsher than I was hoping for personally, but one cannot really argue that its not fair.

The votes on this were cast based on a certain set of factors and should be respected in some way.
