Here is a link to the next best price I could find, which was $199.99, aside from one store that had only one left in stock for $80 (Considering stock availability I did not think it really counted.)

I wouldn't buy a standalone scanner. I have one on my desk and it is a waste of space. I would much rather have an all-in-one

The real only advantage to having it separate, aside from perhaps the dpi resolution output, is that when your printer breaks you don't have to toss out your scanner at the same time.

I definitely see your point on the whole space thing though.

This is funny but I consider tossing out my printer because it ran out of toner and buying new printer will be cheaper than buying a 4-pack of toner I need to replace. I still have not done it only because I am concerned about the waste

It's disgusting is it not! The problem is that I try to be more eco-friendly as well, so I can't bring myself to do it either.
