Last time a beta program was posted on this site in was put through the proverbial voting shredder. However, that is not why I'm voting this one down, just a side comment/thought. I'm actually cool with Beta programs for the most part. The problem is this Beta program is WINDOWS!!! Come on, the stuff these people release as final product is scary enough, much less asking you to play with it in its infantile stages. Using this would probably be like playing Rush-and-Roulette with your PC. If you are going to use this, at least have the sense to make a full back-up that you can revert back to first.

You'd be surprised how well Microsoft betas run. I beta tested a lot of Microsoft software and the only software I ever had an issue with was Windows OneCare before version one was released.

It almost sounds like you're trying to tell me that its only their final products that are bug ridden, code bloated, system hogs, and that their Beta releases are better. I doubt I would be surprised at all, as the ineptitude of Microsoft never ceases to amaze me at this point, its just expected. Wink

Based on reviews Windows 7 promises to be pretty good.

I've heard a lot saying it'll be better than XP.

It might be 'better' than XP with it's flashy new interface, but what we really need is a slim Windows on a system resources diet so we can get some killer performance out of our games. Minimal graphics for my OS for maximum graphics when I'm shooting aliens in the face!
