Just a short snippet this is not a Limewire offer, according to the site these are independent artist. From the FAQ
We are in no way whatsoever affiliated with Limewire or Limewire.com or Limewire LLC.

It is possible that this is fake. I just hit submit w/o entering any values for the address and the form took it anyway. Any more of less credible source would have taken care of the validation check like this. Also, the domain was just created November 6, 2010 (3 days ago) and the owner is not public

bummer Sad I see what you're saying...

I checked to make sure they had contact info, etc. They're on facebook and twitter so it seems legit (not that being on facebook/twitter makes one legitimate).

Supposedly, they created the site only after LimeWire was ordered to quit, so that wasn't an alert to falsehood for me.

I will keep the flag up until someone can confirm the legitimacy of this movement and not some spammer using the opportunity to collect personal info. So far I am getting mixed signals

TorrentFreak writes that LimeWire is alive and well in its new reincarnation.

All dependencies on LimeWire LLC’s servers have been removed, all remote settings have been disabled, the Ask toolbar has been unbundled, and all features of LimeWire PRO have been activated for free,” our source explained.

LimeWire Pirate Edition should work better than the last functioning version of LimeWire (5.5.10), and it should keep working for longer. There’s no adware or spyware: the piratical monkeys are doing this for the benefit of the community
