This is not a full movie screening. It's for a 16 minute piece of the film and an intro by James Cameron.
Offer is still working in some areas, but not worth a trip to the theater. Sad

Last month, James Cameron unveiled 24 minutes of "Avatar" at Comic-Con. On Aug. 21, more than 100 Imax theaters worldwide will screen a 16-minute featurette, including an intro by Cameron and several scenes not included in the Comic-Con preview.

Gotta be honest; I think this is a lame freebie.

16 minute featurette that I have to drive to go see at a movie theater kinda sucks.

Although I did check out of curiosity for my closest location, and I got the following message:
"This Screening has already reached the maximum number of registrations."
