I bought one for my son and it sucks. It feels fake. It constantly freezes. Not much volume. Slow to sync. Not worth $50. It's best to invest a little more in one that is better.

wats up with yur comment^^ it works just fine and it doent feel fake and its worth it for the cost and wat it has on it if yu ask the worker, yu can test one out. so i just bought one and it is awesome but yu cant use iTunes:(

i ordered one of these and wondered how good it was but for all who say it sucks well it does compared to a itouch but for 50 or 80 bucks it is a good deal havent got mine yet but if it dont work good i will send it back and have them send me another one you will allways find a bad 1 when stuff is made in such massive bulk as stuff is now days

Im thinking about buying one tomorrow or sometime. I would like to know. On a scale from 1-10, is it anything like an iTouch? If not thats cool. And how well is the touch screen reaction time? Thnx....
You cannot really compare anything to an iTouch. If you are looking for easy controls and apps, than buy an iPod touch. You can usually get one for $150. You should be able to get this if Santa has been nice to you.

i was looking at the biglots sales and it looks pretty cool. thats a good price for $50 and its a touch screen . you can't beat that.

This is a total POS!!!! I bought three for my kids and NONE of them work properly. Three disappointed kids on Christmas morning asking if they can take them back and get a real MP3. Save yourself some grief and invest in a better MP3.

I HAVE TO USE THEE SIDE BUTTONS TO MAKE IT WORK
So how the h*ll do the volume controls work? I keep pushing them Up or down and they dont do a d*mn thing! The volume just stays the same. Other then that everything seems to be ok. It synched fine. Touch screen is fine. Sounds like the reason theses things are so cheap is because they all have different bugs in them! Ugghh, very frustrating. NOw ive got to take it back and try and exchange it.

to get the volume to go up or down press the volume button and use the button on the right side ya the mp3 player not bad works fine but is overly complicated if you dont know about computers and havent had to deal with cheap mp3 players before dont buy it other than that its cool i got it for 10 buck as compesation from my friend buying a i touch off my othter friend for 50 dollars which im still mad about i wanted that ipod

Got one for my so...doesnt turn on or charge...bought it more than 30 days ago so no refund...none in stock within 2 hour drive from us= no Christmas gift for my son...nice!! I will never buy electronics without trying them RIGHT after buying it @ Big Lots!!!!
Coby is a junk brand. plain and simple. Cheap electronics priced right for the consumer looking to spend as little as possible.

Why is anyone still posting questions here? This item is no longer available from Big Lots, it was a clearance item in the first place and was offered for half the price elsewhere (and sold out there too). If you purchased one and have problems, you should contact CobyUSA, or at least go to their website at http://www.cobyusa.com/?p=support .
I'm thinking its just some current or past member being obnoxious at this point.

I bought 2 for my older kids. Only one worked. Returned the other just before the deadline. For those stuck with them, doesn't Coby have a 90 day warranty? Make them give you your money back. I would!

My mp3 worked just fine for about a month. Now it freezes every time I try to listen to a song. In the long run mp822 wasn't worth it's low price.

THIS THING SUCKS A** IT WORKED GOOD FOR A FEW MONTHS BUT IT CONSTANTLY GETS FROZEN AND IT JUST DOESNT TURN ON ANY MORE..
