Eek, I hate to say this, but Meritline has coupon codes for these every once in awhile that drop the price to $0.99 (with free shipping)... I got one the last time they had the deal a couple weeks ago. I would wait until they come out with another code. Sorry!

Yes, the key being "every once in a while". They don't have one now and this is the cheapest price you can find at the moment. I've seen things that are posted that are cheaper at times but it depends on what is available right now.

Well, as far as I remember, the last one they had was 4 days ago, and then ~2 weeks before that they had another sale for $0.99, which was when I bought mine. I think if someone really wanted one now, then OK, this is the price to buy it at, but if it's not urgent, then I'd wait for another Meritline sale. Just my opinion, and nothing personal, Debs.

I agree that it's cute. I own one, but I will say that the apple shape doesn't stay very long for some reason. I've only used one piece of paper so far and it looks like a huge chunk is missing (I'll take a quick picture of it later). They give you a paperclip to hold it together (though they gave me a bright blue one which looks kind of ugly on the apple), but it doesn't do the trick for very long. It also comes with one of those net things that you often see on real fruit, but it actually doesn't fit over the apple!

Also, as for the negative vote, like I said, nothing personal. I'm a cheapo, and if it's available for a lower price elsewhere, I'd wait for the lower price. Meritline often puts things on sale.

Also, they have a smaller version on the same site for $1.58 + free shipping:

It says in the description "Almost the same size as the real red apple", whatever that's supposed to mean Razz

It's just post it notes, in the shape of an apple, that also takes 3 weeks to get to you... Eeek . And the Dollar Tree has the same thing for a buck by me!
