Well you might want to check the rebate . It does not show up on the fry's website . Fry's also does not give the complete sku # ( to match up with the sku# on the rebate ) . call up fry's and find out more

Can anyone confirm (or disqualify) this deal? It is important that the product SKU on Frys page matches the one on Lexar's rebate. The fact that Frys doesn't list the rebate on the product page is fishy

There have been conversations going on over this rebate, which I'm sure you have seen Orange. Fry's is listed as a retailer for Lexar: http://www.lexar.com/where/online_retail.html
Also from what I have heard from other bargain hunters is that the ones that have ordered in the past have been receiving email confirmations of rebate processing. Others have said the sku on the product matches exactly. Since the rebate is coming from Lexar not Fry's then THEY would be the one to call. To alert Fry's to the deal we are all getting would just prompt them to raise the price. Why ruin it for everyone else?

Well I am not alerting anyone , but just that before anyone buys it ( especially people from states which does not have Fry's stores ) - its difficult to return it ( gotta pay the return shipping costs )
But to go ahead with the deal ( for a customer looking to buy this card ) what would be the option to confirm the rebate . Only one way ....either go instore and check the UPC code and make sure it matched or call .....any other way ?....

There have been plenty of times I have ordered online and used a rebate that was not listed on their site. No one else has ever done that? I thought I was the one here that didn't like shady deals. I researched this before posting and saw all the feedback on other sites. The general consensus is that the rebate is fine. I wouldn't have posted otherwise

ok, I called Lexar & spoke with their Rep, Heidi. She looked up the rebate by offer # and said it is good for purchase from ANY retailer. The UPC from the product box will match the one needed on the rebate as long as you are buying the product listed here.
She also said to be sure you send in receipt, not the email confirmation or packing slip! You can go to frys.com and look under order history & it will give you the option to print the receipt. THAT is what you send in with the rebate.
If you would like to call yourself to verify, the number is: 1-866-251-9541

I'd agree with Mr Cheap about going with the extra gb for this deal, but they are both hot!
