?? Google Android is an operating system, acquired by Google in 2005. There are currently over 200,000 apps available for Android.

    So, I'm a bit confused...

Google Android already exists and is currently in use. So I'm a bit lost as well. Flag cleared.

I just ordered one, bought the men's crew socks for $1 bonus buy and received free postal shipping when activating the DinoDirect PromoCode from [Edited by Admin]. You can google that information in for the link and save a few bucks on shipping. My order total $100.99! Nice deal!

The manufacturer is Silk Road Electrical Equipment

and it's getting shipped from probably China or some other country ( does not seem to be made in USA). So returns would be going back to China? Check on it before you buy. Returns might be expensive.

Also does not mention what android version it's on - which is a major deciding factor. 2.1 and below would not be worth it. Future updates for the software are probably not going to be supported.

Does not mention resistive or capacitive screen. If it's resistive - might not be worth even $99.

Actually it does mention that it is
It runs on the update Android 1.6 platform, which it is factory Android 2.0.1_105 platform. Please do not update the Operating System by yourself!! It may cause unexpected errors and damage the product.

If it's 1.6 - it's really ancient software ( not in terms of time but more in terms of functionality). It's like selling a laptop with Windows 98 software.

Well I got mine in the mail and it is a complete rip-off. Mine came with Android 2.1.2 but it doesn't seem real. The market place that it says is Android marketplace is not even close. There are not many downloads available and things that should not be free are. There are so many things wrong with it and I'm in the process of trying to get a refund. There policy states that if within 30 days I am not 100% satisfied that I can return my product but that is not the case. I would steer clear from this vendor all together. I paid an extra $5.75 to have it shipped via UPS which didn't happen. It came USPS. So far they have offered me a $20 gift card if I return it. Given I paid $105.74 there's no way I want that. Just steer clear from this item and this seller!!

After looking at forums on this site I am seeing that this is a common occurance ( http://www.dinodirect.com/Foru.....S-1-12939/ ). Maybe this website should be blacklisted?

Thank you for the info mooncow, I also purchased one of these and still have not received. I did not pay the $2 insurance to receive tracking#. Lucky for me, I paid via paypal, so I will dispute this transaction immediately because paypal has a resolution dept. which makes the seller respond with tracking#. Although it may take up to 45 days for me to receive refund, but your information definetly makes it worthwhile. Thanks!

what a shame! They seem to have some good stuff but if you don't get it or it isn't what was promised, they need to stand behind it!
