My tip is to take friends/family shopping with you and pull everyone’s list together, assign post at the items to purchase along with how many items are needed for all. This way you get more store coverage and have a better chance at getting more of the items you are seeking.

i find these tips very good. however, i never have wanted a wedding. if i ever got married i was going to a jp and then have a big party after. vista print is also a good place to get cards cheap. everynow and then they have “free sales” and all you pay for is the shipping…you can also go to a craft store like michaels or jo ann’s ,etc. and get cheap invitations and print them on your pc…you can also go to the daily deal sites and find things…

Regarding your tips on pet costs, one thing I’d recommend to save money, especially with cats, is _not_ to buy toys unless you can somehow identify something your cats will use. (I can’t vouch for success with dogs because I don’t have any.) It’s tempting to pick up a $50 scratching post or a $20 ball-in-a-loop toy, but cats can get just as much mileage out of a crumpled-up piece of paper or bit of aluminum foil. Cats will exhaust themselves chasing a fake-bird toy, but they’ll also chase a piece of string. (Just DON’T let them swallow it – always keep hold of one end, and pull it out if they do start to eat it. String does nasty things to a cat’s digestive system.) Do what you can with items that are readily available to you. Cats don’t need fancy toys: they need food, water, shelter, and affection.
