Wow, October is here and it’s already starting to get cold. Yan mentioned he had to turn on the heat, not for Buxr, but for his house. Well we are not here to talk about the weather, instead lets chill-out and relax as we go over this month’s contest results and some new feature announcements that we are sure you’ll like.

We have no winners this month for this contest since you guys seem to have no friends. Perhaps you can make friends on the site? Yan, can we get a “make a friend” feature on the site going?

Don’t forget to request payment!

Just wanted to remind everyone that in order to get paid — you have to request it. Your prizes will be logged as usual in the ‘My Activity’ section of the contests page, but now you will need to go to the (newly added) ‘Balance’ section and request a payment when your balance reaches $25.

We’ve implemented some cool new contest awards last month and users seem to be embracing these awards while maximizing their prize winning chances.

Members also love awards like voting for your own deal and removing a deal from the contest. Remember, every gain of 100 points will result in a random award given to the member.

If you are a top contributing member to the Buxr community, people should know about it. So show off your community accomplishments with our sexy new badges! Every time you finish the monthly contest in top 3 you will gain a ‘golden’, ’silver’, or ‘bronze’ badge displayed under your avatar. This is one more sign of recognition of your achievements (in addition to your title)

We’re blogging baby!

October is exciting month for us because it means we are rapidly approaching the big holiday shopping season. This should be a real test for Buxr and the community. We are hoping to see all of you here spreading the word about the site and posting those hot deals.
